Keyword Lists is the place where you save keywords that you’ve found via Keyword Ideas, Keyword Filters or Trending Keywords. You create lists per category or product, add to them while you’re doing research, and keep an overview of which terms you want to use. A list is not a campaign, it’s a workspace to collect and evaluate keywords before you send them anywhere.
On the overview page you’ll see all your created lists as cards. Per card you’ll see the name of the list and the number of keywords it contains. Via Create new keyword list you create a new empty list with a name of your choice.
You can create as many lists as you want. Handy ways to organize them are by product category, by niche you’re researching, or by campaign you’re collecting keywords for.
When you open a list you’ll see two views at the top: Table and Volume chart. The table view shows all keywords with their data. The Volume chart shows the search volume of all terms in the list visually next to each other, so you can quickly see which terms are dominant.
The table shows the same columns as the rest of the Keyword Database:
Column
What it means
Keyword | The search term |
Ratio | Ratio between average monthly volume and number of listings. High is attractive |
Volume | Total search volume over the full available period |
Listings | Number of product pages on Bol for this search term |
Winning bid | Average winning bid in the Bol auction |
Volume 7D% | Percentage volume development over the past 7 days |
Volume 30D% | Percentage volume development over the past 30 days |
Volume 90D% | Percentage volume development over the past 90 days |
Using the Columns button, you can add extra columns like Volume 7D, 30D, 90D, YTD, Distribution, Volume NL, Volume BE and Peak. At the bottom of the table, you’ll see totals and averages across all keywords in the list.
Add via other tools From Keyword Ideas, Keyword Filters and Trending Keywords, select search terms and click Add to list. You then choose which list you want to add to.
Add from the list itself Use the Add keywords button in the top right to manually add keywords to the list.
Remove Select one or more keywords using the checkboxes and click Remove from list. The terms are only removed from the list, not from your campaigns.
Actions appear at the bottom of the table as soon as you check keywords:
Action
What it does
Copy | Copies the selected keywords to your clipboard |
Remove from list | Removes the selected keywords from this list |
Add to list | Adds the selected keywords to another list |
Export selected | Exports only the checked rows as a file |
Via Export in the top right you export the full list in one go.
Create a list for each product or niche you’re researching. Add all relevant terms you come across during your research in Keyword Ideas and Keyword Filters and then evaluate them as a whole in the list. This way you can see at a glance how the terms relate to each other in volume, competition, and trend.
Use the Volume chart to quickly see which terms carry the most weight. If one term accounts for the vast majority of the volume, that’s probably the core keyword for your campaign. The rest are long tail variants you can use in your phrase and exact campaigns.
Keep separate lists for terms you’re still evaluating and terms you’ve already approved. That way your workflow stays clear and you always know the status of your keyword research.
